Meet The Commanding Staff
Scott Will joined the 501st Legion in February of 2002. Since that time he has served the Florida Garrison in many capacities, including Tampa Bay Squad Leader, Garrison Public Relations Officer, Garrison Executive Officer and Garrison Commanding Officer. He has also served as the Legion Merchandise & Branding Officer, where he oversees all club merchandise and manages the popular trading card project.

Scott joined the Legion in order to share his love of Star Wars -- specifically bringing its characters to life -- with fellow enthusiasts. He particularly enjoys getting involved in project organization and planning, contributing his skills to making the club a great experience for both members and the people who encounter them.

Joe Price joined the Legion in May of 2005, not only due to his love of Star Wars but for the extensive charity work that the 501st Legion does.

In his first year as a Tampa Bay Squad member he was elected Tampa Bay Squad Leader, an unexpected honor...

Since then both he and his wife Sheila have done tons of charity work especially with Make A Wish and now the Leukemia Society since the passing of Amy Santos.

We are also responsible for setting up the tables at conventions due to my extensive collection of props which makes the experience of meeting the 501st more enjoyable.

Joe is also Sgt At Arms for the 501st Armored Calvary Division which specializes in AT -AT Drivers, AT-ST Drivers, and General Veers.

Alex Whitcomb was raised on most things Sci-Fi. First started costuming as The Batman, and met some of the 501st, at MegaCon in 2004. Proceeded to purchase a TK as soon as my wife didn't look at our bank account. Really didn't like to be clean, so I joined the MEPD and went "Dirty". Highlight of my new Sandy was getting on the front page of The Sarasota Herald, feeding my new baby girl, Isabella.

After a few troops for charity, I found this most rewarding, and looked forward to raising money for a good cause. We did have allot of children asking about Vader. so that was my next project. Selling some of my Star Wars collection, and my Sandy to pay for the new costume .I am slowly perfecting my ANH Vader, and getting in as many events as my schedule allows.
